Screens We Use

 Screen and parts quality

The screens and parts we fit — and the ones we won't!

Not all replacement screens are the same. We fit high-quality soft OLED on every repair — the same flexible display technology Apple uses — and we deliberately avoid the cheap hard OLED and LCD panels some repairers use to cut costs.

What we use

Soft OLED

The same flexible panel technology Apple builds into every iPhone.

  • High-quality soft OLED — the same display technology Apple uses
  • Excellent colour reproduction — most people won't notice a difference day to day
  • Full touch and haptic functionality, exactly as before
  • Thin, flexible panel that sits flush with the frame
  • Significantly lower cost than Apple's original parts
What we don't use

Not all aftermarket screens are created equal. Many repair shops fit cheap hard OLED or LCD panels to maximise profit — we avoid both, here's why.

Hard OLED

A thicker, rigid panel that can't flex.

  • Thicker, rigid panel — can sit proud of the frame
  • More brittle — the rigid substrate shatters on impact
  • Higher battery drain than soft OLED
  • Cracks more easily because the display can't flex

LCD

Older technology, thicker and less efficient.

  • No true OLED blacks — washed-out, dull colours
  • Significantly thicker — visibly protrudes from the frame
  • Much higher battery drain — the backlight is always on
  • Extremely brittle glass-and-LCD sandwich construction
FAQs

Premium Aftermarket screens: your questions answered

Everything you need to know about using premium aftermarket screens:

Is a soft OLED screen as good as the original?
For day-to-day use, very close. Soft OLED is the same flexible display technology Apple builds into every iPhone, so colour, brightness and touch response all feel natural. These are the closest match to the original screen on your iPhone. Soft OLED is a genuinely solid option for most people.
Will fitting a soft OLED screen damage my iPhone?
No. A properly fitted soft OLED screen won't damage your phone or its other components. What it will do is trigger Apple's built-in non-genuine display notice in Settings — that's normal, cosmetic, and happens with any third-party screen from any repairer, not just us. Your phone works exactly as before.
Will True Tone still work after the repair?
True Tone will work just fine after the repair using a premium aftermarket screen fitted by us.
How much can I save with a soft OLED screen?
It varies by model, but soft OLED typically costs significantly less than a genuine Apple screen — often a saving of £150–£250 depending on which iPhone you have.
What's the difference between soft OLED and the cheap screens some repairers use?
Soft OLED uses a thin, flexible panel that sits flush with the frame — the same underlying technology Apple uses. Budget alternatives like hard OLED or LCD are thicker, more brittle, drain the battery faster, and often sit slightly proud of the frame. We only ever fit soft OLED for exactly these reasons; we won't use hard OLED or LCD panels, even though they're cheaper.
Can I upgrade to a genuine Apple screen later?
Yes. If you start with soft OLED now and decide later you'd like a genuine Apple display, just get in touch and we'll fit one at the standard genuine-screen price. There's no obligation either way.
Is the repair covered by a warranty?
Yes — every screen we fit, soft OLED or genuine, is covered by our Lifetime warranty warranty on parts and labour. If anything goes wrong within that period, we'll sort it at no extra cost.
Which iPhone models do you cover?
We fit iPhone screens from iPhone 4 to iPhone 17 series. If you're not sure whether your model is covered, just get in touch and we'll confirm before you book.
